Schadenfreude Alert

by Tom Bozzo

Wisconsin Public Radio is reporting this morning that Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (WI-5) enjoys travel on the dime of corporations with business before his committees (not a completely new story, apparently). Hello-delay!
Comments:
I guess you forgot to mention that they all do this sort of thing and that Dems took more trips than Repuglicans, even though there are more Repuglicans in DC.

Politicians on average are a horrid bunch of elitists that think they can bend the laws they expect others to follow. Stuff like this wouldn't happen if government power was much more limited.

I didn't say that Republicans (I assume you didn't mean to write "Repuglicans") invented the shakedown of corporate interests; they just perfected it.

The "Repuglicans" was intentional. I have seen this at DU and Kos, so it was done tongue-in-cheek to enhance the evilness of the Repubs.

If the gov't stayed out of the free market, we wouldn't have to worry about companies lobbying our elected leaders on potential regulations that are before Congress.

But, count me as deeply skeptical that there is any corruption on either side of the aisle.

I guess I can't argue with that...
