Touched

by Tom Bozzo

LEGO fans — I know there are a few of you out there — take heed. Via LUGNET, the "Touched By His Noodly Appendage" mural, in LEGO bricks.

(The creator is perhaps best known for a Flash utility widely used to create mini-figure avatars.)
Comments:
It seems to me that the "Flying Spaghetti Monster" is one of the weakest forms of satire ever to make it big with otherwise intelligent people. It's such a primitive thing; "Me smart! Your view dumb! See how dumb! Ha ha ha!"

And the mini-mizer ... well, the random button can surely come up with some interesting results!

I tend to view the idea of the FSM as hilarious, though a lot of the details of Flying Spaghetti Monsterism do have the character of stuff passed around the back of an 8th grade Catholic school classroom. As in so many cases, less can be more.

But I think Dembski and other ID proponents have asked for it in positing the possibility of an alien designer.

As for the mini-mizer, I've seen some quite amusing results (e.g., at Scrivenings and Frogs and Ravens), but prefer my real-LEGO avatar...
