K: "Great, thanks... Um, are you trying to tell me something?"
J: "Yes, I'm trying to tell you that I accidentally used your toothbrush to clean the cat box."

Bath A is our main bathroom; bath B holds the cat box, laundry, and cleaning supplies. Tasks normally accomplished in A rarely spill over to B, except when, as now, bath A is on the fritz. I brushed my teeth in B, and in my coffee-deprived haze left my toothbrush on the counter. When Jeff cleaned out the cat box (including the holes in the grate that is supposed to make cleaning a cat box easier, but doesn't), he grabbed the only toothbrush he saw, also out of habit.
Somtimes the infusion of a little mind into a mindless task (e.g., burshing teeth, cleaning cat boxes) can be a good thing.
