Economists and Sociologists: Where the Twain Shall Meet?

Following-up to Kim's post about the research encroachmentoverlap between sociologists and economists, comes George Akerlof's President's Address to the AEA (warning: 72-page PDF, via Menzie Chinn at Econbrower), which attempts to refine economic theory in the face of empirical results (e.g., Kahneman and Tversky's work).
